National Night Out Events-Neighborhood WatchThe 25th Annual National Night Out “Give Neighborhood Crime and Drugs A Going Away Party”
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS AND DONATIONS!!
National Night Out (NNO) is an annual crime and drug prevention event organized to strengthen community and police partnerships. The traditional sign of participation in NNO is when residents turn on their exterior lights and lock their doors in recognition of the event.
The official NNO in Texas is October 7, 2008. Since this falls in the middle of the school week Cypress Creek Lakes will be celebrating with a Safety Fair on Sunday, October 5 at Warner Elementary. Bring your lawn chairs and meet your CCL neighbors between 3 PM and 6 PM. Representatives from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department, Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department, and other safety oriented organizations will be on hand. More details will be posted on the two websites closer to the event date. Please remember to turn on your porch lights on Tuesday, October 7.
This event does not have a budget from the CCL HOA. We are still in need of donated resources to help make this event a success. Examples of items we’ll need are: folding tables and chairs, refreshments, decorations, and inflatable activities for the kids.
